Subject:
Candida
Hi
there,
It is great to find a website like this to share candida-related problems
and solutions! I am a candida sufferer from Dublin, Ireland and feel like
I am the only person here suffering from this debilitating and frustrating
illness, as I have never heard anyone else talking about it.
When I have a flare up of candida, my allergies to eggs and wheat go through
the roof and I now find myself distrusting food (as I am afraid of the
reaction I may have when I eat it). Tis not a good attitude to have towards
food! Help!
I have a question: can I have any fruits at all? Bananas, apples, cantelope,
grapefruit, oranges, etc. (I know grapes are out but any others?). I crave
fruit and have not had any in about 8 months as I have been on the candida
diet for about that length of time now. Unfortunately I have 'fallen off
the candida-diet wagon' a few times (I just can't help it sometimes!) and
when I do, I go straight back to square one and have to start all over
again!. Its a nightmare!

I
have been looking for a website where candida sufferers can exchange
info. I have had it for years. I have heard a lot about
THREELAC on the internet but it sounds too good to be true, offering
a cure without having to do the diet. I’m trying to find genuine
sufferers who have tried it to see what they think. There are testimonials
on the marketing websites but I don’t trust them. Have you
tried it? (Sarah Marris)

Subject: Candida, Weight and Diet
After
taking the Candida test I believe I suffer from this problem. I have been diagnosed with chronic fatigue, fibro mayalgia,Epstein
bar,and I suffer from frequent urinary tract infections, and yeast
infections.
I also have alot of the other symptoms.
And I am having a heck of a time trying to lose weight.
Other than helping my symptoms will this diet help in the losing
weight process?
I appreciate your help and I'm looking forward to be on the message
board and getting started on this diet. I would like
to be able to post on your site.
Thank you.

Subject:
Candida
My
name is Phil. I am 47 and for some time I have been losing
weight, to the fact I look like a stick, with doctors saying
there is nothing wrong, its all down to depression, then a
few weeks ago a different doctor decided to send me for an
endosepi which showed up that I had a fungus infection of the
gullet & stomach,
I
was prescribed ITRACONZOLA tablets but no
further explanations only after talking to a friend at work
who has sufferd CANDIDA and come through it do I realize that
with all the symptoms I have and what this (CADIDA) can cause
that Ii do have it although the doctor has not used the word
Candida just fungal infection.
Can
any one help to point me in the right direction? I feel lost
with not knowing what to eat & drink.
Many
thanks,

Subject: Candida and Food Intolerances
Hi,
I
have been on the anti-candida diet for over 4 months now. For
the first 3 months I had not had a test for food intolerances
but now I am trying to do the diet at the same time as avoiding
all
the things I am intolerant to and I am finding this really hard.
Weight loss has been a problem for me too as I have always found
it difficult to keep weight on and I have lost so much weight
that I now weigh the same as I did when I was a young teenager
which
is concerning my family. I do eat lots of nuts but there are
only so many nuts I can eat! I am intolerant to lots of things
that
I was eating previously on the diet such as sweet potato, oats,
egg, almost all meats.... I have a whole A4 and a half list of
things I can't eat. I also don't eat seafood which doesn't help.
I have been trying to think of new things to try particularly
to snack on that are really satisfying.
My
main concern is that I ate a lot of the things on my intolerance
list whilst I was on
the diet and I think it was eating them so often that made me
intolerant to them but it is very difficult to vary what you
eat to avoid
this happening again if you're limited in what you eat.
I
eat a lot of brown rice and rice related products (rice milk,
rice
puffs,
rice flour) and barley, rye and quinoa and I am worried that
I will become intolerant to these too. I really want to stick
to
the diet because I know if I can kill the candida and heal
my gut I could go back to normal again but any recipes I find
seem
to
have something in them I'm intolerant to. Can anyone suggest
any new things for me to try? I tried tapioca and really loved
it as
a treat but it makes me bloat up really badly. Snack foods
and treats are what I need most desperately to keep giving me
the
incentive to carry on with the diet and I really miss my porridge
and oat
pancakes!! P.s. I can't stand any soya products like tofu!
